Helmetta Regional Animal Shelter is a newly established animal shelter in Middlesex County, dedicated to the welfare of animals through the rescue, care and placement of injured, abused, neglected and abandoned animals into permanent and loving homes. We serve as advocates for animals, and are committed to providing community service programs and educating the public about the humane treatment of animals. We accept both cats and dogs regardless of age, demeanor or physical health. Helmetta Regional Animal Shelter accepts surrendered pets regardless of what town the owner resides.
Helmetta Regional Animal Shelter has a progressive philosophy apart from the typical “dog pound” attitude. We have a “low kill” policy. We do not euthanize healthy adoptable animals. Every animal at the shelter is treated with respect and care regardless of breed, age or personality.
