Heaven and Earth Animal Rescue Team (HEART) is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to rehoming displaced dogs and cats. Our goal is to find loving and permanent homes for these animals and to match people who are looking for that special pet with a healthy and happy dog or cat who will fit in as a member of their family. The health and welfare of the animals who come to us is paramount. All animals are evaluated by a veterinarian and any health problems are taken care of immediately. All animals are also fully vaccinated and given heartworm preventative. Because we want to ensure that all of the dogs and cats in our care go to good homes we may ask to do a home visit. This allows us to decide if the dog or cat is a proper match for your home. we reserve the right to turn down applications for pets if we feel that the home environment is not in the animal's best interests. Did you know that time spent helping HEART as a volunteer can be used towards community service credit at many schools and institutions?
