Halfway Home began a foster, home-based shelter. Our initial goal was to provide an additional place for homeless animals when other shelters were too full to help. Halfway Home is now an independent shelter. Along with our "sister" organizations, we work to promote spay/neuter and to assist with Trap/Neuter/Return of feral cats.
Since our beginning, over 1,200 cats and dogs have passed through our doors on their way to forever homes or back to their feral colonies as part of a Trap/Neuter/Return program.
Halfway Home is a Federal 501(c)(3) status non-profit organization and it's success relies solely on the donations from our pet adoptions, private donations and sponsors. We do not receive grants.
