The Greenville Humane Society operates a full-service animal shelter, and no animal is turned away from the shelter.

As a non-profit organization that receives no United Way or government funding, the Greenville Humane Society is heavily dependent on contributions from the public and private sector. Contributions are tax-deductible.

The average cost of caring, feeding and housing an unwanted animal is $20 per animal per day. With over 20,000 animals turned in each year the shelter has a large need for donations.
