Grateful Greyhounds, Inc., is a non-profit volunteer-run organization helping ex racing greyhounds, rehabilitate and place them into loving homes. We raise awareness of the plight of the racing greyhound, and participate in various community outreach programs. GG serves NYC, Long Island, WestchesterRockland Counties, and some parts on New Jersey. Every dog GG rescues is carefully screened to determine its personality and best possible living arrangements. The dog is then fostered with professional greyhound people to help it acclimate to living with humans as well as other animals. All prospective owners are also screened so that the best possible match could be achieved
