We are currently the only Animal Shelter in Cullman County. We accept animals from the municipalities within the county as well. We are a non profit government agency.
We have a very aggressive adoption program. We adopt here and at a local pet store. We have several foster homes and volunteers who help us out as well.
Although we are funded though the county, we rely heavily on donations. We need cat litter, bleach, food, paper towels, citrus dish liquid, wormer, vaccines, etc. Also, we need more foster homes and volunteers. If you can donate supplies, your time or you home please contact Candie at the Shelter.
Our business hours are Mon-Fri 9 am -330 pm and most Sat 9 am till 12 noon. We do close one weeked a month so we recommend calling on Saturday before you make the drive.
Our adoptions are $90 for dogs/puppies and $65 catkittens. This fee includes the rabies vaccine and spay or neuter of your new pet. Also based upon donations, we will deworm and vaccinate with first shots if we have them on hand.
Most of our pets are online at cullmananimalshelter.petfinder.com. Please come by, call or check us out online today.
