CARE was created in 1998 for the dual purpose of rescuing abandoned and neglected dogs and cats facing euthanasia, and to provide programs to help people get their pets spayed and neutered. Strating with a group of only four initial volunteers, CARE has grown to the point where hundreds of volunteers devote thousands of hours to our rescue and spay-neuter operations. Since CARE does not have a shelter facility, we use our website as a virtual shelter where you can view pets available for adoption and submit an adoption application.
Our Mission:
To conduct animal rescue by providing medical care and placing animals facing impending euthanasia into foster and permanent homes, to increase awareness for the need to spay/neuter all pets, establish a mobile spay/neuter clinic, and to work with and advise animal shelters in central Arkansas on animal welfare issues.
