California Coastal Horse Rescue, founded in 2000, cares for those horses that no one else will care for. We provide food, shelter, rehabilitation, medical care, and adoption services for horses that have been abused, abandoned or neglected.
Volunteers comprise California Coastal Horse Rescue and donate their time to feeding, exercising, grooming, and cleaning stalls as well as facility maintenance fundraising, public education and special events. Most important, our volunteers provide daily love and attention for those horses awaiting adoption.
California Coastal Horse Rescue's adoption service strives to find new caring homes for horses sheltered at the rescue. Potential adopters are screened, and an effort is made to match a horse with a compatible new owner. Site checks are made as well as follow up visits.
California Coastal Horse Rescue achieves results with the help of our volunteers and the generosity of private and corporate sponsors, (There are no salaries paid).
