The Ashland County Humane Society is a non-profit, tax exempt, volunteer organization dedicated to the welfare of animals in the Ashland County area.
Although independent of the Ashland County Animal Shelter, the society works in cooperation with that agency, as well as the local veterinary community.
The society funds itself through its own fund-raising efforts, animal surrender and adoption fees, and the generosity of the local community. All members of the Board of Directors and committees are unpaid volunteers.
