The Animal Support Center, TASC, of Las Vegas, NM has been working to combat the problem of homeless and suffering pets in the region around Las Vegas since 1994. Our programs include a sanctuary for homeless dogs and cats, public clinics which provide low-cost spay/neuter surgeries and vaccinations and Waggin' Tails Mercantile, our thrift store.
The goal of TASC has always been to accept and care for any homeless dog or cat that comes to us without using euthanasia as a means of population control. We find homes for our animals through adoptions and also through transfers to other shelters. Homeless dogs and cats that are not adoptable for health or behavioral reasons become permanent residents of our sanctuary.
We are currently sheltering over 100 dogs and cats at the TASC facility and in foster homes. Only a few of our wonderful animals are listed on the Petfinder site. Please come by our shelter to see the many more beautiful, lovable pets we have who are ready for you to take them home.
TASC is a private, non-profit organization funded primarily by the proceeds of our programs and by donations, and supported largely by the work of dedicated volunteers.
