If I am bitten how should I care for a dog bite?

* Always wash the dog bite with soap and warm water, try to get any dirt, saliva, or any other particles washed out of your wound.

* Apply pressure with a clean cloth or towel to the dog bite to stop any bleeding, if the bleeding does not stop within 15 minutes you should proceed to a doctors office or emergency room.

Pets in Ohio : Dog : Mixed Breed : Cricket

Cricket

Cricket was a stray at a rural shelter so we don't know anything about her past. she is marked like a shepherd but has short hair and stocky body like a boxer. She is about 10 months old. She likes other dogs, not sure on cats as they were hissing and she was barking. Cricket was fortunate enough to be able to participate in a local prison program. This is where inmates foster dogs and teach them basic commands and work on housebreaking. Cricket does not get on furniture unless you ask her up. She does not dig and is not protective of her food. Cricket is a good dog who deserves a second chance with a loving family. Cricket is spayed and is brought up to date on her shots. She is also housetrained and knows her basic commands. If you would like more information on this sweet girl or would like an application to adopt or foster Cricket please email Lindsey at may.271@osu.edu
