If I am bitten how should I care for a dog bite?
* Always wash the dog bite with soap and warm water, try to get any dirt, saliva, or any other particles washed out of your wound.
* Apply pressure with a clean cloth or towel to the dog bite to stop any bleeding, if the bleeding does not stop within 15 minutes you should proceed to a doctors office or emergency room.

Pets in Michigan : Dog : Mixed Breed : Peach
Peach
Peach is ready to go NOW. Are you interested? She's an easy sort of dog, well-behaved, usually calm, and very affectionate. She was quite vocal and defensive in the kennel at the pound, which made her chances of adoption pretty slim, but it seems not to be an issue at home. A good watch dog, she'll bark, but usually quiets easily when asked. Normally she's very friendly and social, and a calm, easy meeter-and-greeter, but she has met a couple men she just didn't like at all, for reasons we don't know. She's been excellent with kids of all ages. A real cuddler once she gets to know you! She regularly seeks attention and you might have to push her nose or paw out of your lap a few times before she gives up. She's fine with other dogs, very polite and likes to play, although she's a little food protective (working on that). Definitely a "food hound" -- as you can tell from her waistline! She weighs about 45 lbs but could stand to lose a few. She's just wonderful with kitties, really likes them and is very gentle. She does well on a leash unless she sees a SQUIRREL, and then she's off. She knows sit, down, shake, roll over and stay, mostly all taught to her before she even came here. She's being fostered in an apartment and does quite well there. She'd fit in well in a variety of situations looking for a dog that doesn't need a great deal of training or effort.
