The Aryan Molossus
Once a Warrior, Today a Loyal Companion and a Family-Protector
Should you ever decide that you need a big dog, with an imposing posture, which can look threatening and majestic at the same time, the Aryan Molossus is definitely one breed that you must take into consideration.
The Armant
The Egyptian Dog with a Lot of Love to Give
To some of you, the Armant is better known as the “Egyptian Sheepdog” and, just as the name suggests it, it was bred to be a herding dog. However, in ancient times, it was used mostly as a guard dog. This breed is originally from Egypt and named after the town of Armant. Its loyalty and agility are the two main characteristics which make this dog special.
The Atlas Terrier
The Small Dog With a Massive Dose of Energy
At a glimpse, the Atlas Terrier can be easily mistaken with the Jack Russell Terrier. However, there are some differences that may help you tell these two cousins apart. Before deciding to buy or adopt a dog of this breed, there are some things that you have to take into consideration. Unfortunately, this is quite a rare breed of dogs in our days.
Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie
It Is Impossible Not to Love Them
Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie are the smallest dogs in the Anglos-Francais category. However, the name „Petite”, meaning „small”, is not at all referring to the size of the dogs, but to the game they are after. Even if they've been around since the 16th century, today, these dogs are not easy to find. So if you have decided to adopt one, you can be sure that you will have a unique pet.

Pets in Michigan : Dog : German Shepherd : Harvey
Harvey
Harvey should be available after the 25th if all goes well. He came from a home where he'd been kept chained outside. He looks like a purebred but for his crazy curly tail. He's a sweet, loyal boy who quickly attached himself to me particularly, but is social and affectionate with everyone. He's NOT a suspicious guard dog type, and in fact rarely barks unless he thinks the situation is really serious, and quiets when asked. He's proven polite with other dogs, EXCEPT strange dogs if they enter his territory before he's had a chance to greet them. He can get mean under these circumstances, although in all others he's been amazing considering he's not yet neutered. Neutering should help this issue, but may not resolve it entirely. He does like other dogs and has gradually learned to play while here (Frog is a good teacher on that subject). But he'd love to be an only dog where he could get ALL the attention. He's very attentive to "his" person, he follows me every step I take and frequently seeks attention. Very affectionate, bordering on "needy" and just a big baby at heart, he'll crawl right into your lap if you let him, all 70 lbs of him! He has some tendancies to chase cats and small animals, but he listens so well this shouldn't be a problem so long as his new owner is willing to put some time into supervision and training. He learns very fast, knows some basic obedience and we're working on leash training. He's been completely house-trained here, after a couple corrections for lifting his leg (neutering will help), and his manners are excellent. He rarely gets into anything he shouldn't and somebody must have taught him to stay off the furniture unless invited. Certainly a VERY intelligent and trainable boy, his whole world revolves around pleasing his people.
