Lucy our 5-year-old houndterrier mix medium-size, approx. 50 lbs. needs a good loving home.
Our dog Lucy is not adjusting well to our 9 month old daughter who is crawling and beginning to toddle around.
She is a GREAT dog with people. She is very loving, fun, and completely housebroken. However, we have not had luck in crating her. We tried when she was a puppy and she broke out of 3 crates. She gets along great with our big dog, but is aggressive on the leash toward other dogs. Typically she plays
well with other dogs, but is the alpha dog or attempts to be, and sometimes will fight with other dogs she doesn't know.
She is not good with cats.
I need advice on good fosteradoptionrescue places She is such a very sweet dog I think she will be better off in a home without small children. She LOVES to run in the woods, so a place with some land would be perfect however, she's been a city dog for years, and is fine in the city too, with walks.
Would you happen to know of anyone who would be interested in having her or of a no-kill rescue place The ideal home for Lucy would be a home in the country with people often around she loves people and other dogs that are not aggressivedominant. She can either be an inside or outside dog however, she's always been an inside dog with full access to a yard. But she loves the woods and being outside.
