What is Gold Vet Potassium Citrate Granules used for:
Pet Meds Gold Vet Potassium Citrate Granules - Gold Vet Potassium Citrate is used in cats and dogs as an aid in the prophylaxis of urinary stone formation. Microencapsulated granules help decrease the possibility of calcium oxalate stone formation. The liver and roast beef flavor base have a special taste appeal to animals.
How Gold Vet Potassium Citrate Granules should be used:
Feed by mixing with or sprinkling on food. The usual dose in cats is 1 scoop (5 grams) per day. The usual dose in dogs is 1 scoop (5 grams) for every 10 lbs of body weight, not to exceed 6 scoops (30 grams) per day. Your veterinarian may give specific directions for increasing or decreasing the amount to be fed.
What are the side effects of Gold Vet Potassium Citrate Granules:
There are no demonstrated serious side effects reported.
What special precautions are there for Gold Vet Potassium Citrate Granules:
Give this product with food. Do not exceed recommended dose. Use with caution when given with medications such as spironolactone, triamterene or atropine.
