The Aryan Molossus
Once a Warrior, Today a Loyal Companion and a Family-Protector

Should you ever decide that you need a big dog, with an imposing posture, which can look threatening and majestic at the same time, the Aryan Molossus is definitely one breed that you must take into consideration.

The Armant
The Egyptian Dog with a Lot of Love to Give

To some of you, the Armant is better known as the “Egyptian Sheepdog” and, just as the name suggests it, it was bred to be a herding dog. However, in ancient times, it was used mostly as a guard dog. This breed is originally from Egypt and named after the town of Armant. Its loyalty and agility are the two main characteristics which make this dog special.

The Atlas Terrier
The Small Dog With a Massive Dose of Energy

At a glimpse, the Atlas Terrier can be easily mistaken with the Jack Russell Terrier. However, there are some differences that may help you tell these two cousins apart. Before deciding to buy or adopt a dog of this breed, there are some things that you have to take into consideration. Unfortunately, this is quite a rare breed of dogs in our days.

Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie
It Is Impossible Not to Love Them

Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie are the smallest dogs in the Anglos-Francais category. However, the name „Petite”, meaning „small”, is not at all referring to the size of the dogs, but to the game they are after. Even if they've been around since the 16th century, today, these dogs are not easy to find. So if you have decided to adopt one, you can be sure that you will have a unique pet.

Pet Tips

Keep Your Pet Happy and Healthy by Choosing the Safest Dog Bones

There has been more and more of a debate lately regarding how safe and healthy dog bones truly are. The greatest problem concerning this issue is that many pet owners are unaware of the dangers that some types of dog toys and treats can pose.

If you want to make your pet as happy as possible, offering him the toys that are best for him, then you will most likely need to do some research. Apart from what your dog may prefer, you must be aware that different dog breeds can have many different ways of behaving and of chewing. While some only nibble the bone gently, others have a more aggressive chewing style and are therefore more likely to get hurt if the material that the dog bones are made of might be too hard.

Also, just like us, dogs have their own personality and temper. A responsible dog owner must take this factor into account as well when going out to purchase a toy for their beloved pet. Some dogs for example like to break off pieces of their food and eat them. Therefore, the toys you give them have to be made of digestible material so as to avoid any danger in case the dog is able to chew it into smaller pieces. Nevertheless, table scraps and real bones are not always the best option. The greatest issue that can come up is that the bones that were cut and boiled can often splinter easily and cause serious problems if the dog chews or swallows them. That is why you should always consider buying dog bones from special stores and not just give them any type of bone. Also, whenever you take your dog to regular checkups, do not hesitate to ask the doctor any questions concerning the kinds of bones you should or shouldn’t give your pet.

Size is also an important factor to be mindful of. The first and most important thing to remember is to choose a bone that cannot be swallowed. If you have a bigger dog, try to avoid giving him small bones even if they are made of digestible material. For smaller dogs, on the other hand, the best choice would be to get them small raw or cloth dog bones.

Additionally, it is always best to supervise your dog whenever he is busy playing with a bone, especially if you had just bought or adopted the pet. It is very unfortunate that many dogs end up with serious health problems and some even die because of their owners’ neglect when all is needed is a little attention and caring.

Our dogs deserve to be healthy and happy just like us and they need to be cared for accordingly. Making the right choice regarding the type of dog bones you buy will not only keep your pet happy and healthy, but will also increase the bond and trust between you and your new friend. Dogs are very loyal animals and you will find that taking care of them to the best of your abilities will bring you great happiness and satisfaction.
