this might sound crazy to some people, but i need****rmation on opening a shelter for mistreated pit bulls, or any other bully breed. i have 7 pit bulls from so many different backgrounds. some ab****ed, some since they were pups. i want to open a shelter for fighting dogs, ****t somewhere for them to live there lives happy and secure. i have had pit bulls that have been fought, and one in particular was the sweetest thing alive. someone help me to save these fighting dogs, seized, state posessed, etc. from certain death. i need grants dog food, shelter. everything............please give me advice!!!!!!!!www.saphire2692@AOL**** PLEASE GIVE ME ANY IMPUT

Go online and google the phrase: "opening pit bull shelter" and see what you find. Try contacting the ASPCA for advice. Google existing pit bull shelters and ask. Find the pit bull o-r-g-a-n-i-z-a-tion that rescued the fighting dogs from Michael Vick. Everything is online - you j-u-s-t need to u-s-e your imagination and do a little legwork on your own. It isn't easy, nor is it cheap, so I would think long and hard at what your are p-r-o-posing to do. Are you financially able to undertake this p-r-o-ject? Unless you've got the money up front or have financial backers, I would strongly suggest you find the rescue o-r-g-a-n-i-z-a-tion that Michael Vick's dogs went to and dis-c-u-s-s it with them. The last thing you want to do is make a bad situation worse, even though you mean well. If you don't have the funds and the wherewithall to do this, DON'T!

I need to find a pit bull rescue here in Jacksonville NC. I have a pit bull mommy that has taken up residence in my back yard. She is very skinny but full of milk. I don't see any puppies so I don't know if she already had them or is going to. She has a collar on her if you call it that...but no tags she is very scared I have been feeding her in hopes to save her and her pups. Please if any one can help let me know thank you with all my heart.

 The Sheboygan County Human Society has a Pit Bull in their care since July 5th, 2009!
My concern with that PitBull, Queen is that they are threatening to kill her and it's not even her fault. The whole incident was a accident! First they told the owner that if he came up with $240 by the 16th then he could get Queen out! Now they are telling him that he can't take her out now till they have a landlords**** and number and everything is alright with taking her home! She bit the victim but it was also an accident and the victim also says soo. Please if you have anything to help me with or any suggestions, please feel free to contact me or leave me a****ment. Open to all kinds of****ments or concerns!

Google the phrase: pit bull a-s-s-o-c-i-a-t-i-o-n (but without the dashes...stupid stoftware) or pit bull rescue and see what you get. Whatever rescue o-r-g-a-n-i-z-a-t-i-o-n you get, contact them & tell them your story. They should be able to guide you. Good luck!

I have a 3 year old black mix red nose and blue pit all black with white chest . he loves kids and can be around little dogs he loves to play.. but is agressive with a large dog he sems to get scared of a dog bigger or his size .. he is very loveable and****tective of kids.. he ****t loves my grandbaby I am moving and i cannot have him where I m mving to .. So Im giving him away but to some one who will love him and care for him.. he is like my son.. I love but i cant have him where im moving and the aspca says they will destroy him after 3 days if no one adopts him .. i cant have that .. If anyone wants a beautiful loveable dog let me know

I am going through the same thing in a way. I have the most sweetest female spade pitbull and I have an eviction notice to move out in 6 days or get rid of her. She is so good to my kids and the sweetest dog that I've been around. I heard Watermelon Mountain Ranch in Rio rancho NM is a place where they don't believe in putting animals down. If I don't find a good home for my dog I've decided this is where I'll be taking her... Good Luck! God Bless our Sweet pets!!

Please someone help me, we have a pitbull will be 2 in Nov and loves people and we have taken him to classes and he does well but at times it seems like he ****t wants to go after other dogs. he loving and I feel with the right person he would be a wonderful pet. I don't want him put down. I couldn't live with that. Please help me find him a good home write me Brenka123@aol**** Thanks or if any**** on rescues that will take him

I have ****t read your request where are you located. I have raised two pit bulls, mother and son and the son ****t passed 13 years of love and devotion and it broke my heart.
