Unwanted Adoptions - 9/2/2008 8:24:46 PM

I recently saw on Craigslist that someone had adopted a Mini Pin from a shelter in Sedalia, MO 3 weeks ago.  They said that the dog wasn't "working out" with their family.  (Basically sounded like they weren't happy she wasn't potty trained from day one...)  Don't shelters usually make you sign something saying that if you decide you don't want the dog you have to bring it back to them?  Or is it just some shelters?

Our shelter says the animal needs to be brought  back, but this doesnt insure they are going to follow the contract.  I've seen the adopters months later, and found out they didn't even have the dog anymore.  Heck, we dont have a spay/neuter program and we have to trust the owners do this.  HA!  As if!
