Status: offline 		10 Arabian horses were rescued today from a supposed "sanctuary" in Inyo County, California.  I am involved because two of our gorgeous, champion-bred, older mares were sent to them about a year ago to supposedly live out their lives in comfort and personal care, however we were lied to.  The couple running the sanctuary actually were taking in horses to care for, but keeping the money that people donated for themselves and slowly starving the horses.  When I finally found out what was happening, I had our two mares picked up last Saturday and my friend said it was the worst animal cruelty situation she had ever seen.  The couple were getting a divorce and the woman had run out of money to buy hay.  She was feeding the horses very poor-quality hay that was loaded with foxtails.  Two of the horses are in very serious condition.  The remaining 10 horses were rescued today by a gal who has room to take them to, but NO money to pay for their care.  The Sheriff released the horses to her with the ****urance that there enough people who cared that could help these horses.
