Found Rottweiler or Rottweiler mix (seems small for typical Rottie size though he could have been runt, his feet are big as though he hasn't quite grown into them, but his teeth would reveal an older dog.) He was in Harrisburg, PA. Very skinny, very frightened, very hungry. Took hours to get him into the car. He's black with typical tan markings. He has other distinct features which I will not list, if he has been on his own for some time, you might not be aware of subtle changes in his face. Very sweet, well behaved, and alert/observant, playful, perfect. We bathed him, fed him and searched all over inte**** for posting of lost dog with no results. None of**** can have pets where we live, nor could we find a friend that could keep him for a couple weeks while we searched for owners. We did take him to the vet in hopes he had a chip. Rather then put him in a nokill shelter two hours away where owner might not think to look, we thought it best to take him to the place closest to where he was found in case he is local. It was really freaking hard to drive all the way back there to hand him over without knowing for sure what his fate would be. The good thing is that this place does not put dead lines on life expectancy unless the dog is very sick or very vici****. God willing there isn't anything seri****ly wrong with this dog. Hopefully you, the owner will find this, and retrieve him from his new temporary home, the Harrisburg Humane Society on Grayson Rd. It broke our heart but we ****t aren't in any position to keep a dog due to the limitations on our leases. We would have otherwise been happy to keep him until we found you. You can google the****rmation of the shelter that I have left here and find it without a****blem to call an inquire. I don't know how many days they hold him until he's put up for adoption. I think ten days would be fair considering he could be from another state as owners desperately search everywhere. IT still isn't enough time for an out-of-stater regardless 72 hours doesn't cut it even for a local find. Kind Regards, Rebecca
