Here in Florida, we have many shelters. I wanted to pose a question. Why do some shelters discriminate when it comely to desirable dogs? I noticed when shelter have english bull dog pups or toy breeds or popular dogs they usually hold on to bogs for themselves or they raise the adoption fee very high. It feels like a big scam to me. I have been looking for a while for a pup to love. I am more than qualified. The pup would never be alone, I work from home. Would get plenty of exercise, I live next to a dog park/ It is amazing how some people try to manipulate the general public. One shelter said that i would have to pay a deposit but their was no guarantee that i would get the dog i wanted. that is crazy.

Conversely, why not adopt a 'less desirable' dog instead?
