I love my cat very much. We adopted her when she was very little from an agency that said she had been found outside. She was very skinny and looked like she hadnt eaten very much. Well, 4 years later, it is needless to say, she has gotten quite plump...   She certainly likes her food. We recently changed her food to a diet food but she wines all day for more. We can only give her food once a day because she will sit there and eat all of it as soon as we put it out for her. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to make her more active? I have bought a million different toys and she just seems to get bored with them.

My cat, Jasper, is almost two years old, she is fixed and has been an indoor car ever since she was kitten. Up until 5 months ago, she never had problem using the little box. She began to pee all over my bedroom, I would pick her up and place her on my bed and she would squat right where I placed her and would pee all over my bed. I would come home at night and she would follow me to my room and would sqaut right in front of my face and pee. This all stopped...I was told it was lack of attention, So I began to give her more attention, that has been for about a month. In the past 2 weeks however, she managed to go into one of my daughter's rooms and peed in her closet and then went into the other one and pee'd on her bed spread. A day later I found a half dollar size of urine on the floor in my room followed by small droplets. Today, I picked her up off the couch, put her on my lap and she peed on me. I went to take her outside and she peed on me as i carried her. What is wrong?

I don't know what you are feeding your cat, but please read a book entitled Your Cat: Simple New Secrets to a Longer, Stronger Life by a veterianaria in California who has a feline only practice.......I have a nice plump 4 year old cat who was recently diagnosed with feline diabetes and have learned that is largely due to feeding him commercial dry food all of his life (was feeding an expensive dry food) thinking I was doing right by him.  This book is the best book I have ever read about caring for your cat.  Everyone who has a cat needs to read this (especially about what we feed them).  You might try rubbing catnip on the toys to get more reaction out of your kitty.
