my husband and i live on a real tight budget he is a diabled vet. we have a dog and a cat which both need shots and the cat needs fixed .. where can i find free help with this or at least cheap help ... we love our pets and do not want to get rid of them , they are our children... and like children they need care and shots

Go to Petsmart, they have vaccine clinics, usually less than a vet. An exam is not usually included though, so if you pet is having problems you are unaware of, the vaccines can be a hindrance to your pets. Feed stores, such as Tractor supply or Foster and Smith catalogs have vaccines for very cheap. You can give them yourselves, again , the pet won't be examined. Also, only a vet can give the required rabies vaccine. If you give your own vaccines, you run the risk of the animal having a vaccine reaction, and then you are not close to the vet when it needs treatment.

Vaccinations for dog as a pet: DHLPP (distemper, leptospirosis),Corona,Lyme,Bordetella,Rabies.
